When we moved to Loenen, the Drenthe heath sheep came into my life. The lambs stayed with us too. I asked the sheep shearer what happened to the wool. The answer was shocking: the wool was thrown away. I thought: ‘There must be another way’. That’s how I learnt to felt sheepskin, and that’s how I came into contact with Inge. She taught me the finer points of sheepskin felting and also taught me to look at wool in a different way. She taught me felting techniques such as needle felting and felting slippers. This is how I discovered that wool has so much more to offer than simply providing insulation for sheep and people. It transforms under your fingers when you work it with your hands, water and soap, or with a needle. The lovely thing about wool is that it has a ‘mind of its own’, and when you go with the flow, extraordinary creations emerge.
Come and create with me, and discover just how relaxing, natural and beautiful wool is in all its forms.

For almost 40 years now, I have been working with and playing with young children in education, which I thoroughly enjoy.
I took up felting in 2019. I’ve been hooked on this technique ever since.
Introducing children to this wonderful way of working with wool and water in a playful way is truly marvellous, both for the child and for myself.
Being able to involve young children in this is therefore a real treat.
